Public Offer

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This document is a public offer (the “Offer”) of the administration of the CastShield project (the “Operator”, “we”) addressed to any legally capable person wishing to use the CastShield service — protection of Minecraft servers against DDoS attacks, bots and cheaters (edge filter, control panel, anti-cheat, captcha; the “Service”). The Offer sets out the terms on which the Service is provided and the procedure for concluding the contract. By accepting it (registering an Account, topping up the balance / paying for a Plan, or actually using the Service) you confirm that you have read, understood and fully and unconditionally accept the terms of the Offer, and you conclude a contract with the Operator on the terms set out below. If you disagree with even one provision, do not use the Service.

⚠ Attacks, fraud & payment abuse

Attacks on the Service or Protected servers, payment fraud (chargebacks, payment disputes, theft of accounts and payment data), attempts to circumvent the protection, as well as use of the Service for unlawful purposes entail immediate suspension or blocking of the Account without any refund. In addition:

  • Any paid but unused balance and a paid period are non-refundable where the Account is blocked for a violation.
  • IP addresses involved in an attack (the entire pool) are blocked indefinitely, including at the kernel level (XDP).
  • Attack sources and instances of fraud are recorded and, where necessary, disclosed to public abuse databases, the abuse contacts of hosting providers, the payment provider and — upon an official request — to law-enforcement authorities.

01Terms and definitions

The following terms are used in this Offer:

  • “Service” — the CastShield hardware-and-software complex and the related web resources (website, control panel, API) that provide protection for Minecraft servers.
  • “Operator” — the administration of the CastShield project, which provides the Service on the terms of this Offer.
  • “Client” (“User”) — a person who has accepted the Offer, registered an Account and uses the Service.
  • “Player” — an end user who connects to the Client’s Protected server through the Service’s network.
  • “Account” — the Client’s account in the control panel through which they manage the Service and the balance.
  • “Plan” — the service plan selected by the Client with a defined set of features, limits and price.
  • “Protected server” — the Client’s Minecraft server connected to the Service.
  • “Balance” — the funds recorded on the Account in conventional units (pegged to the US dollar, USD) used to pay for the Plan.
  • “Acceptance” — the Client’s full and unconditional acceptance of the terms of the Offer in the manner set out in section 3.

02Subject of the Offer

The Operator undertakes to grant the Client access to the Service for filtering traffic and protecting Protected servers against DDoS attacks, bots, spam and cheats, as well as access to the control panel and related features, and the Client undertakes to pay for the selected Plan and to comply with the terms of this Offer.

The scope of the features provided and the limits are determined by the selected Plan. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

The Offer, together with the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the SLA referenced by it, collectively constitute a single contract between the Operator and the Client.

03Acceptance of the Offer

Acceptance of the Offer is constituted by the Client performing any of the following: registering an Account in the control panel; topping up the Balance or paying for a Plan; or actually using the Service (including connecting a Protected server).

Performing the acceptance means the Client’s full and unconditional acceptance of all the terms of the Offer without any exceptions or reservations and constitutes the conclusion of a contract by way of adhesion.

The contract is deemed concluded from the moment of acceptance and is in force until terminated in the manner set out in section 12. If the Client acts on behalf of an organisation, they confirm that they have the authority to conclude the contract on its behalf.

04Connection procedure and provision of services

To use the Service, the Client registers an Account, providing accurate and up-to-date information, and connects a Protected server in the control panel in accordance with the Operator’s instructions.

The services are provided from the moment the Plan is activated and provided that the Balance is sufficient. The Client is fully responsible for keeping their credentials secure and for all actions performed under their Account; enabling two-factor authentication is recommended.

The Client must immediately notify the Operator of any unauthorised access to the Account. The services are deemed duly rendered if the Client does not submit a reasoned objection within 14 days.

05Plans and their amendment

The scope, limits and price of Plans are stated on the website and/or in the control panel and form an integral part of the Offer. A free plan (if available) may have functional and resource limitations and is provided without warranties.

The Operator may change the scope and price of Plans by giving notice on the website. Changes take effect upon publication and do not apply to a period already paid for; the new price applies on the next charge.

06Payment procedure

Payment is made on a prepaid model: the Client tops up the Balance, after which the price of the selected Plan is debited from the Balance in accordance with the terms of the Plan.

The Balance is topped up through the payment provider FreeKassa. The Balance is recorded in conventional units pegged to the US dollar (USD). The payment obligation is deemed fulfilled from the moment the funds are received by the Operator.

Electronic receipts and other payment documents are generated and provided in the manner established by the applicable law and the rules of the payment provider. Payment-system fees may be charged in addition to the top-up amount.

07Refunds

As a general rule, a paid period and funds debited for services rendered are non-refundable. An unused Balance may be returned at the Client’s written request to abuse@castgame.net within 14 days, less payment-system fees and the cost of services actually rendered.

Funds are not refunded where the Account is suspended or blocked for a breach of this Offer, the Acceptable Use Policy or the applicable law — in particular in the case of attacks, payment fraud or attempts to circumvent the protection.

08Rights and obligations of the Operator

The Operator may: suspend or restrict access in the event of a breach of the Offer, a security threat or an insufficient Balance; carry out scheduled and emergency maintenance; develop and modify the Service; keep logs of traffic and attacks.

The Operator undertakes to: provide the Service to the extent of the paid Plan; use reasonable efforts to ensure the availability and operability of the Service; process personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

09Rights and obligations of the Client

The Client may: use the Service within the limits of the selected Plan and this Offer; manage the Account and the Balance; contact support.

The Client undertakes to: comply with the Offer and applicable law; pay for the selected Plan on time; ensure the lawfulness of their Protected servers, the content hosted and the actions of their Players; refrain from attacks, fraud and other prohibited conduct.

The list of prohibited conduct (attacks, abuse, improper use, etc.) and the consequences of engaging in it are set out in the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which form an integral part of this Offer.

10Service availability and quality

The Service is provided “as is”, without any warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Temporary unavailability, maintenance, failures and force majeure events are possible.

Target availability and quality levels, where applicable to a Plan, as well as the terms of any credits, are set out in a separate document — the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

11Liability and its limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data, the acts of third parties, unavailability of the Service due to force majeure, or for the content and actions of the Client and their Players.

The Operator’s aggregate liability under this Offer is limited to the amount actually paid by the Client for the Service for the last three (3) months, and in any event no more than USD 100 (one hundred).

The parties are released from liability for non-performance of obligations caused by force majeure for the duration of such circumstances.

12Term and termination

The contract is in force from the moment of acceptance until terminated by either party. The Client may discontinue use of the Service and delete their Account at any time.

The Operator may suspend or terminate the contract and block the Account in the event of a breach of the Offer — including immediately and without any refund in the case of attacks, payment fraud, attempts to circumvent the protection or other gross violations.

13Personal data

The processing of personal data when using the Service is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of this Offer. By accepting the Offer, the Client confirms agreement with its terms.

14Amendment of the Offer

The Operator may unilaterally amend this Offer. The current version and the date of the last update are stated on this page. Changes take effect upon publication unless otherwise stated in the Offer itself.

Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes the Client’s acceptance of the updated version of the Offer. If the Client disagrees with the changes, they must discontinue use of the Service.

15Governing law and dispute resolution

This Offer is governed by the law of the Russian Federation. Disputes are resolved in the manner established by the applicable law, where possible through negotiation.

A pre-litigation (claim) procedure is mandatory: a claim is to be sent to abuse@castgame.net and is reviewed within a reasonable period — no more than 30 days from receipt. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is referred to the competent court at the Operator’s location.
